Ready, our council continues to serve the people of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and Annandale, Virginia, with the blessing of our parish administrator, Fr. Terry Specht. The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic fraternal organization that exists to strengthen the life of faith among Catholic men by providing occasions for them to serve Christ, the Church, the community and the world. Developing the virtues of charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism in men is its central purpose.
When the Church was still young, the Great Apsotle, Saint Paul encouraged the early catholics to take note of the gifts, talents and service that each Christian brother or sister contributed to the well-being of the Church. Each month, each The Knights of Columbus council across the USA selects a member Knight and a family in their host parish or parishes who manner of life embodies in a particularly compelling way the ideals of the fraternity in an effort to do just that.
